Commemoration of the 566th anniversary of the victory in the Battle of Nándorfehérvár

On the occasion of the annual commemoration of the Hungarians and their allies victory in the battle of Belgrade in 1456 Charge d‘Affaires Erikas Petrikas together with foreign ambassadors participated in wreath floating ceremony on the river Danube in honour of those who lost their lives in fight for freedom.

Solidarity with Ukraine was expressed during the event as well, Ambassador L. Nepop in her opening speech referred to the historical events in which the nations united in their fight against common aggressor, and urged to continue supporting those who were struggling for their independence and sovereignty today.
