Centenary of the Restoration of the State of Lithuania Celebrated in Budapest
On 13 February, the Ambassador of Lithuanian culture, the laureate of "Pro Hungarica" prize Ms. Mūza Rubackytė gave a concert in the prestigious Budapest Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music to mark a hundred years since the restoration of the state of Lithuania.
In her welcome speech the Ambassador of Lithuania to Hungary Mrs. Rasa Kairienė expressed her deepest gratitude to those Lithuanians and Hungarians as well who kind-heartedly supported Lithuania on its path to freedom and independence.
The event was attended by more than two hundred representatives of Hungarian state, culture, arts and science institutions, Budapest diplomatic corps and members of the Lithuanian community enjoyed masterpieces of Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis, Ludwig van Beethoven, Robert Schumann and Ferenc Liszt.
The concert was organised by the Embassy of Lithuania to Hungary.
