Ambassadors‘ Forum at Ludovika – Baltic States
On 16 May 2022, the Forum of Ambassadors of the Baltic States „One Region – Three voices: Baltic Views on Changing Geopolitical Situation" took place at the Ludovika University of Public Service in Budapest.
The invited speakers of the round table discussion were Ambassador of Lithuania H.E.Vytautas Pinkus, Ambassador of Estonia H.E. Kristi Karelsohn and Ambassador of Latvia H.E. Agnese Kalnina , other participants were the members of academic community and diplomatic corps. The opening speech was made by the Rector of the University Dr. Gergely Deli. In their keynote speeches ambassadors of the Baltic States were speaking about their countries' historical experience in restoring and consolidating independence, ensuring energy independence and cyber security focusing on the relevance of hybrid threats and energy security nowadays, as swell as the peculiarities of each country, their strengths and achievements in specific areas, which could be followed by other countries. The participants of the forum were interested to hear what were the reasons for the success of the development of the three Baltic States, about their experience in relations with Russia, their membership in NATO and the European Union, and the situation regarding the war in Ukraine.
