Paulius Normantas passed away
It was a schocking news for me to learn that my great friend eminent Lithunian/Hungarian Photographer
PAULIUS NORMANTAS is no more.
Paulius has done a lot – as a Lithunian – for the search of the roots of the Hungarians.
I have met him first in Transylvania, later in India. His travels, have resulted a great number of exhibitions, albums.
I call him Csoma, because he was the modern time Kőrösi Csoma Sándor (eminent Hungarian Tibetologist).
Excellency, as a Hungarian orientalist, indologist it is my duty to commemorate Paulius Normantas and show his career as a sample for our youngs.
Kindly find herewith two links which summerises my connection and respect to Paulius and the Lithunian people.
Paulius will remain in our heart forever. He is a symbol of Lithunian-Hungarian Friendship.
In my prayser I pray for him. I remember when he was 50 years old he said that he wants to die in the Himalayas.
The Himalaya represents the eternity, the eternal challange to discover and explore. Paulius was motivated and responded on a high artistic level for this challange.
